Zayed is a freelance creative director living in Bali. He has been based in the South East Asia region for 18+ years.

He started his career in 2002 as a copy creative in New Zealand, working at renowned multinational agency networks; TBWA\, DDB and Saatchi&Saatchi.

A raft of global accolades that included Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, and OneShow, led him to Singapore in 2006. Over the following six years, he rose to take on various regional and global creative leadership roles at iconic brands like Y&R, McCann and WundermanThompson – handling a host of prestigious clients from Audi to MasterCard & Unilever.

In 2013, he took a leap to focus on his creative+ consultancy ZIGIDY working with his clients and agency partners across South East Asia. His specialisation was in private/financial banking and the automotive sector. His AOR clients included Porsche and Prudential EastSpring Investments.

Zayed has been residing in Indonesia since September 2018, initially arriving for an in-sourced consulting project with British American Tobacco through agency partner, Geometry Global via Ogilvy.

His last fulltime role which concluded in 2022 saw him as regional executive creative director of Singaporean agency – Brilliant Agency. Based out of Bali, he remotely worked across the agency’s local, regional and global agency brands.

As of 2022, he is taking a sabbatical in sunny Bali until he can find the next important role of his career.

He still operates as a creative & marketing consultant with clientele + agencies in and around APAC region while SCUBA diving and feeding his ‘scary’ pitbull in his spare time.
